Goanna Headland is a very photogenic spot which is seen from the Razorback Lookout, a popular vantage point for viewing the Pacific Ocean, our beaches & other sights. This headland, also, protects the entrance to the Evans River from the southerly winds. There is a surfing spot just inside the headland called Halftide Rock, which sometimes can be seen in the images, depending on the tide.

This is a favourite image of mine & is the first pic I took of Goanna Headland & Halftide Rock.

This is a closer shot & the worn path down the small cliff to the rocks near Halftide Rock is clearly visible. This was made by surfers & rock fishermen. There is a rockfall, also, visible to the right. Goanna Headland is in the background.

It is easy to understand why this is a favourite spot to take pics of Goanna Headland from.

    A lovely day in summer.

    The water sparkles.

These pics were captured from some movies I shot during the worst week of our 2009 autumn storm season. It was difficult to remain standing while filming these as the wind was so strong & it was blowing straight through those trees.

Later that same week. The wind had eased that day, enough to let us leave our home for an outing. The storm force winds returned that night.
