Green point Park which has a bio-diversity garden in it, is situated near the Green Point Stadium. The Park was originally made for the visitors of the World Cup Soccer I think? It appears to be still in it's infancy?. It will be a very nice place (if it is maintained) once it matures a little. There was a lot of work happening within the park which I tried to keep out of the photo's. We got off the bus at the Stadium and walked in a straight line through the Park and exited on to Beach road at Mouille Point nr. Three Anchor Bay. This brings one directly to the Greenpoint Lighthouse Greenpoint Lighthouse.

We climbed the tower which did my leg muscles no good as I discovered when they seized up later heading for the coffee shop across the road. Unfortunately the hatch to the light room was drawn shut and when we came down they offered to have it opened, but we were not game for another trip up the three flights of stairs

A pleasant trip! I would do it again and only go up the tower when I am much fitter :)

Part of the old stadium that is currently being demolished, it stands almost directly next to the new one

A section of Seapoint, with it's art deco buildings (I love them!) mingled with new ones, which is on the opposite side of the road

The Ritz hotel with the revolving restaurant on the very top. The view from the restaurant at night is really awesome. We had dinner there some time back in the early eighties, and had the fortune to have a window table although the revolving piece is on the outer edge near the window, the windows are low enough for most tables to be able to see out.

The wild Arums that are becoming increasingly scarce due to picking by locals for resale. As are the little frogs that live in these plants, unfortunate but true!
