Our newly repotted Wollemi Pine. Hopefully it will do a bit of growing this coming spring. Its rootball was really dry. Have watered & will give it a bit more tomorrow. The moisture meter showed that it was still dry even after a good soaking. Fortunately, it is a drought-tolerant plant.

The Wollemi Pine seems to have settled into its pot ok, after more than three weeks. Now we hope it will have a spring growth spurt within the next few months.

Our wonderful Wollemi Pine has, finally, started its new growth cycle for this year. The repotting into a bigger pot & the use of special slow-release native plant fertiliser seems to have done their magic. Apparently, Australian native plants require low phosphorous content fertilisers. This is the first time I have used this special fertiliser for it.

This new growth happened almost overnight. We walk past this beautiful plant several times a day plus it is always in our line of sight, through the window, & we never noticed this very obvious new growth until yesterday.

The top of the "trunk" is covered in new growth & resin. Do so hope the trunk will shoot up & add some more height to our wonderful Wollemi Pine.

More images of its rapidly growing spring new growth. These new tips are so soft & the colour glows. It would be wonderful to be able to see this new growth in the wild where the few remaining wild specimens are. Unfortunately, that is impossible as the area is closed to the public.

Still, we have our plant with its lovely new growth. :D

Our wonderful Wollemi Pine is covered with new spring growth. This is the best season's growth spurt it has had. So far, though, there has been no sign of it shooting upwards, unfortunately.

This new growth has grown quite a bit & is such a beautiful colour. It must look wonderful to see mature trees covered like this. It will be a while before ours attains any size.

The new Wollemi Pine growth feels like soft rubber to the touch. It doesn't seem to be real.

This year's new growth has made the wonderful Wollemi Pine look much bigger. It has added at least 15cms to each branch.

    Today's image.

Our Wollemi pine - wollemia nobilis - is looking really good with all its new growth from this year. Wished it had these growth spurts more often, though.

Some images of the Wollemi Pine's new growth from last spring. Most of them have double rows of leaves.
