Teven Road runs through the Teven Valley which is a very picturesque part of our region. It is also a good way to bypass the lights & traffic of Ballina when travelling north to Queensland. This day there was a thick smoky haze from grass fires further inland. This haze was evident all the way to Brisbane, Qld.

One of the two new bridges built on the Teven Road to replace the rickety, very narrow, wooden bridges which were previously there. The alignment has been improved too, thank goodness.

Many of the trees along this road are the introduced noxious pest weed tree camphor laurel. They thrive in our region & the seeds are spread far & wide by birds eating its small berries. When these images were taken they were a beautiful soft green which is the sign of their spring growth spurt.

The blue on the top of the pic is not the sky. It is the tinting on the top of our windscreen. The sky was white from smoke haze.

Thanks Dawn. It is a very pretty valley with some very lovely homes set on acreages or larger properties. It was a shame the air was thick with the smoke haze at the time we went through it.

When we go to Brisbane, again, in two weeks, we won't be travelling this road as we have to go to Maccas for breakfast (that is a must  ) & it is further up the Pacific Highway, past the Teven Road turn-off. :lol2:
