    5.35pm No longer an orangy yellow colour. Sun has dipped over the horizon.

    The next morning. These are some of our plants on the back patio which were covered in red dust even though they were sheltered from the wind.

    A close up of leaves of the Brazilian Walking irises. We have not had a colourful sunset since this dust storm, nearly two years ago. There were another couple of dust storms which weren't as bad as most of the soil from the Red Centre had already been blown away.
