default Fiesta Miniature Roses ~ 2011/12/13/14

Post by Joy on Tue 09 Aug 2011, 3:53 pm

It has been a long winter, this year, with no flowers, at all, from our beautiful miniature roses. They normally flower non-stop right through winter. It was a bit cooler than usual this year with very cold nights getting down to a minimum of around 3°C or 4°C (37°F/39°F) during the wee small hours, at one stage. So maybe that was the reason. Their leaves didn't grow back very fast either. :sad3:

Anyhow, tadah!!! :dance018: :dance017: :apgw: A lone bud on the miniature Fiesta rose has started to nopen. It has taken ages to get to this stage. Not only that but I have discovered FOUR buds on the Chameleon miniature rose!!!! :excited:  So, perhaps, spring is not so far away, after all. :dance010:

The miniature Fiesta rose has opened fully. It is a wonderful colour. The Fiesta rose's bud took AGES to eventually open.

The "Fiesta" miniature rose has begun flowering again. It was lovely to see this when we returned home after being away for a few days. It is such a beautiful little rose.

Some images, from yesterday, of two of the clusters on the Fiesta miniature roses. They are doing really well for only two tiny plants.

Our Fiesta miniature rose is now back into full flowering mode after a rest.

It has sent up a couple of very tall flower stems. These both have quite a few buds on them.

The miniature Fiesta roses are growing tall. Two large clusters of flowers have just been cut off as they had faded.

Thanks Dawn. :D We had had some very heavy, & persistent, rain lately which had stopped me from taking pics of both the Fiesta & Chameleon miniature roses. Luckily, there was a bit of a break & I was able tp take this pic of the Fiesta miniature roses. Wasn't able top deadhead them though. The new clusters of rosebuds are looking quite good, I think. There are still plenty of buds to open. :D
