We are continuing to have some beautiful winter weather. This was taken this morning looking north from Razorback Lookout.

The steam rising in the centre of the pic is coming from the Broadwater sugar cane mill & refinery. It is right in the middle of the cane crush season.

A tourist gazing at the sights of our area. This lookout was the original one built so that the local professional fishermen could assess sea conditions & decide whether they were right for going to work.

Luckily for us, Dawn, it is a car accessed lookout. There is a road up the edge of the cliffs, with homes on the side away from the cliff face. It is, appropriately, called Ocean Drive. :lol2:

:lol2: We are lucky in that respect, Dawn, because when this lookout was first established, the fishermen had to get across the river & climb to the top of Razorback. Fortunately it isn't that high but even so & I wouldn't have liked to have to attempt it. Now it is all very civilised with roads, a bridge & plenty of housing on the south side of the river which is where the lookout is.
