    First is Anthurium hookeri , a series of photo's to show growth from a small plant to maturity and production of the spathe and spadix and then the seeds.

    :donald::donald:

    Anthurium veitcheii is a beautiful plant with pleated leaves which grow very long leaves at maturity.I had it attached to a rainforest tree trunk when it grew a bit.

    I will stop here and continue with Anthuriums no 2 next time. :hi:

    :wow: Such wonderful anthuriums, Pixie. :love: They are nothing like the ones we can buy at the plant retailers, I'm afraid. The leaves on both plants are so big, glossy & beautiful. Have you been able to grow plants from the seeds of the hookerii??

    Thank you, so much, for posting some more pics of your fantastic tropical rainforest garden. :photos:

    I have not bothered much growing Anthuriums from seed as I am too busy with other seeds but at present I have got some seeds of Anthurium bakerii waiting for germination as I don't have bakerii and another gardener sent me some seed. There is a seller on ebay who has unusual Aroids his seller name is "Aussie Aroids"from Nth QLD . If you google Philodendron you will get him among the sellers .I have had some rare plants from him apart from Philodendrons,he aslo sells dried bananas and lots of tropical plants.

    Many thanks for that information, Pixie. Shall keep that in mind for when I am able to look for some more plants. Do like the unusual plants too. Bought another orchid yesterday so that will be that for a while, I think. :blush2:

    Do love dried bananas though. :lol2:
