The two aechmea fasciata "Primera" bracts out on the back patio, taken a few days ago. Still not easy to take their pics. :D

Oh dear, it is more than six weeks since these pics were posted. The bracts are still looking good. Today I thought I should test my new camera out with their bright pink coloration. :D

This one of the two on the back patio. Wasn't able to get at the other one. It is hiding, I think. The anthurium behind the aechmea fasciata "Primera" is starting to shoot up finally.

Have just noticed a second aechmea fasciata "Primera" bract in another of the front patio plants. None, yet, to be seen amongst the back patio aechmeas. :(

This one has only just started growing.

They are, aren't they, Dawn. Such good value as plants, too. The bracts stay that lovely bright pink for at least nine months & they grow offshoots. Aechmea fasciata "Primera" are so easy to grow too, though each plant does only flower the once. With all the offshoots appearing, that doesn't matter.

These two aechmea fasciata "Primera" bracts have grown rather rapidly. They still aren't full sized yet, though.

It certainly is a very attractive plant, Dawn. This is another one you only have to buy one of, too. :lol2: The care tag, on the original plant when we bought it, said it was a registered plant & was not to be propagated. :lol!: No one told the plant that.
