Thanks, Dawn. It isn't that easy to grab shots of the passing scenery when you are travelling at 100-110kph. Bruiser does tend to drive a wee bit faster than that though. If you blink you miss it. :lol2:

Trouble with me is, Dawn, that I cannot remember exactly where we are so things can creep up on me before I know it. Next thing I know, we have passed the point of interest before I can get my camera ready. :aargh: Most of the scenery is very similar, for the entire stretch of the highway from here to the border so there are few memory joggling moments.

This is the first little wildlife corridor tunnel on the Pacific Highway when we are heading north. These are near Yelgun & Chinderah, I think. These two pics were taken heading north, towards Queensland, along the Pacific Highway.

    The second wildlife corridor tunnel.

Heading south, near Chinderah. We were coming over a hill here & veering left around a curve.

A very low-key welcome to NSW sign at the border coming in from Queensland.

Bruiser had to wait until we finally reached an overtaking lane before he could pass that B-Double truck, Justy. Then he was off like a rocket. :donald:

There are three of these wildlife corridor tunnels on that stretch of the Pacific Highway. The trees on them have grown enormously since I have been taking pics of them. They are in a National Park region & there is a need to protect koalas from being squished on the highway, especially when the lovelorn males are wandering about, looking for lurv. Hence the special fencing & these wildlife corridors. Other critters, such as wallabies, kangaroos, echidnas, wombats, etc would also use these corridors.

Have some more images from our latest trip to add here, as well. Been a bit slack in that department lately. :lol!:

Here are some images from our recent trips up, & back, the Pacific Highway.

On the Pacific Highway. This is Mt Warning, the southernmost mountain in the Glasshouse Mountain Range. This is in NSW but most of them are in Queensland.

From this angle Mt Warning looks like someone lying on their back, sleeping. :D The crop in the foreground is sugarcane. It is a major field crop in the Northern Rivers of NSW.

These are two large 34 wheeler B-Double trucks & they had just been driving along side by side before the one in the front pulled over to the left. To the left of the freeway is some of the koala fencing designed to stop the marsupial from getting on to the Pacific Highway & getting squashed.

Near Byron Bay, NSW. Banana plantation in the background. There, also, macadamia, avocado & coffee plantations around here as well as some warm climate stone fruit trees & blueberries.

Some of the lush countryside around this region. It should be after all this rain we have been having.

Tootling along the Pacific Highway. This is just how Bruiser likes it, almost empty but this situation usually doesn't last long. It was actually quite a steep hill.

The yellow flowering bush is a buttercup bush. Do not know what its botanical name is but it looks so striking along the Pacific Highway as it is in flower at the moment. It was hard to get a really good shot of it wkile we are travelling at 110kph.

Some images taken on our latest trip, last week, along the Pacific Highway whilst driving to Brisbane, Queensland. These were taken during the morning with the camera looking into the sun so causing shadowing. After it became overcast the lighting was too dark & unsuitable for taking pics. Stayed that way, plus with rain, the whole time we were away.

A huge Moreton Bay fig tree in a paddock. There are many of theses large graceful trees growing in farmland in the Northern Rivers region of NSW.
