:lol2: We love these spiders, Granny, as they do not cause us any harm but do like to snack on bugs, that we do not like, such as cockroaches. They don't build webs but, as their name indicates, hunt their prey at night. :bravo:

The huntsman spider was still hiding behind the moisturiser bottle, until I switched off the lights, last night before going to bed. It had disappeared by the morning & had avoided getting into the kitchen sink. :lol3:

As a hint as to the size of this one the shoulders of the moisturiser container are 7cm (2&3/4ins) across. Fully grown huntsman spiders can be 10cms or 4ins across at their longest legs.

Spotted this wonderful huntsman spider posing on one of our walls last night. It had suddenly appeared from "nowhere" as it wasn't there when I walked past a few moments earlier & is a very healthy looking specimen indeed. I think it looked as though it measured 7.5cms across from what I could see during the very brief time it was under the ruler, as it very promptly ran off when I placed the ruler above the top of it. Do think it may be a male as its body is rather small.

A seven-legged huntsman spider I spotted late last night. It does seem to be coping okay without a left front leg although these are their hunting & grabbing legs. It is not a fully grown huntsman but is big enough as it is on a door jamb & wall.

This young huntsman spider seems to have taken up residence in our bathroom. By the look of the size of its abdomen I think it is a female. Here it is on the vanity unit which is actually snow white but photographed cream. Ugh. Didn't seem to bother it that I was close to it brushing my teeth.

A little while later it had moved. It eventually made its way down the side of the vanity & disappeared for a snooze.
