The trees have grown somewhat since I took this pic, so some people would have less of a view.

Looking towards the Riverside Kiosk at the rear of the pic. Their food is quite good.

That is a shame, Dawn. I do hope it is only a temporary problem, because, if I can see them, as they are in my cache, but others can't, well we do have a real problem.

No I think the problem is only from my side . I only mentioned it so you would know why I hadn't left a comment. I will try again to day, the other thread loaded eventually so it will happen ! only a question of time with me.

Very very nice photos, the place reminds me a lot of where I grew up too, so I felt a little nostalgic looking at them! Of course we didn't have the sea there!, but the trees too ..... they are wonderful.

Yes, it is a lovely statue, Dawn, & is certainly is one of the more famous, along with the Little Mermaid & David. :D Read on the net that J M Barrie chose the site for the statue himself.

Took this image, yesterday - 1st day of 2011, of a motorised paraglider which was cruising around above Main Beach. This is at my camera's full optical zoom which operates to 18x. The small aircraft was reasonably distant by the time I was able to get my camera & set it to the scene position I wanted. :lol2:

What a great shot you got there Joy!:photos:

He looks like a wasp with a red sun shade doesn't he :coolsign:

It is hard to get them just the way you want them unless they circle, they move on so fast don't they :)

Thanks Dawn. He seemed to be flying along the beach & think he was coming down to land. Didn't see it after that. :lol!:

That was threatening dark grey clouds, Dawn but there wasn't much wind which would have suited the pilot. These things are a bit too fragile & open for my liking, I'm afraid. :o

Gosh was it Joy! the sky didn't look that bad on the photo, I need new spectacles.

Yes they always look like they could fall out any minute. :lol2:
Over here they come out in force when the wind is turned off

It was a dull old day for the first of the year, Dawn. Those pics were taken in the late afternoon when the clouds seem to look more threatening.

The motorised paragliders look like little mozzies with parachutes, don't they?? :lol!:

Thanks Glad. It is a pretty area. We do rather take it for granted, though & yes the local council does take reasonably good care of it. They have to as we do get quite a few tourists all year round, plus the locals would complain if they let things go. :lol2:
