A very destructive & violent east coast low pressure storm system has hit our area. This is film of the resultant seas. We have been told it is going to get worse. At the moment the storm is centred, just north of us, on the coast of SE Queensland but is due to move down to our part of northern NSW very soon with much damage expected. This movie was shot from Razorback Lookout, which is about 100ft above the sea.

This was filmed when the there was a temporary break in the terrible, & longlasting, east coast low storm system, for a few hours. There was no wind or rain this day. The storm returned with renewed vigour that evening & lasted for another three days!!!

The third video from the film I took of the storm seas we had on this day. They worsened. This East Coast low depression storm system is very extensive & is causing widespread damage both inland & to the coastline from Noosa in Qld to Nambucca Heads in NSW. We are in the middle.

The second video made from the movies, taken that afternoon, of the storm seas caused by the severe, & destructive, East Coast low depression which was causing much devastation to SE Queensland, just north of us. It was travelling south & would, very soon, cause similar damage to our area. These seas would get much worse, causing coastal damage, due to the increasing tides as a result of the waning moon. Dangerous flood rain, as well as even more severe winds, were also expected.

Our East Coast borders the South Pacific Ocean & it's Low Depressions are just a teeny step down from full- blown Tropical cyclones, so they are very dangerous.
