Ex-Tropical Cyclone Oswald travelled thousands of kilometres down the east coast from its original beginnings as a cyclone in the Gulf of Carpentaria & has caused much serious flooding damage both in Qld & NSW. We were lucky to be spared. .
This movie was taken after the storm had passed after battering us for more than two days. There was plenty of rain & strong winds with big seas but too rough to take movies while the storm was in full throttle. The seas were still big after the storm left us this morning.
At the height of the storm the seas were 6-8metres (20-27ft) . When this movie was taken the seas had abated to 5mts (17ft) but the swells remained at 4mts (13ft).
