Two young male Australian magpies have arrived for a feed. This one is standing by the glass front entrance waiting for a feed.  THe other is eating seed.

We were thrilled when a lone beautiful eastern rosella joined us for a feed. We don't see many of these as they usually only hang about in reclusive pairs This may be a juvenile as it has the washed out colouring the same as a female.

Whoah A sparrow startles the eastern rosella as it flies in for a feed of the seed. Eastern rosellas aren't flock birds as they hang in pairs so wouldn't be used to this.

A pair of the colourful beautiful eastern rosellas arrived & stayed for quite a while. We felt honoured as these are shy birds which tend to keep away from open areas. The free food might have been too good to resist.

The male eastern rosella has a brighter coloured head whereas the female is duller the male would  be the one at the rear. The pair chatter in a quiet tinkling sound to one another nonstop. Seems its their way of keeping bonded.
