Thank you Big Billy. Bruce & I wish you & your lovely wife a wonderful Christmas & safe & happy New Year.

PS A pair of galahs joined us yesterday at the seed feeding station as did a bunch of noisy rainbow lorikeets who turned the water dish into a birdbath & thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Couldn't get pics though. Must put my camera closer to me.

Recently we had a visit to the seed feeding area from a pair of galahs late in the afternoon & yesterday they returned at about the same time. Was able to get some pics of them with a pair of eastern rosellas for size comparison.

A fellow tenant's friend has left his small runabout boat parked in our front yard for sometime & its bow rail has become a favourite perching spot for the laughing Kookaburras who like to be able to look down at the ground looking for prey.  In fact when they fly they seem to be only a few feet off the ground. One of the Kookaburras that visit here for food took off & flew across the road in front of our place at only about two feet off the ground this is a fairly busy road & if a car had been passing it wouldn't have had a chance to miss the bird & there would have been one less kookaburra here.

This kookaburra was sitting on the bow rail in the late afternoon filtered sun & looked so good I just had take some pics.
