We had a colder than usual winter earlier this year & our Adenium obesum looked quite miserable when I came home from my longish stint in hospital. All its remaining leaves were dried out or discoloured. It seems as though every second winter it does tend to lose all its beautiful leaves, completely, This is a sort of a total renewal of its beautiful leaves. but the process makes this lovely plant look as though it is dying. Not a good feeling at all. But I have learnt to relax & think of it as a normal happening. That is after I have thoroughly checked it for wet rot, of course. All good this time & now that the warmer weather is here it is sprouting its stunning new spring growth.
Today it has been raining. Here are some very damp adenium obesum flowers. This beautiful plant is now well into its spring recovery from its winter rest by sprouting new leaf growth & opening its bright pink warmer weather flowers.
The newer images of the warmer weather flowers are still stuck in my Picasa3 site which I cannot access from my Wondows 10 PC. Today's pic was able to be processed using my Windows 8.1 laptop.
