We went to Grafton,110kms south of where we live, a few days ago for an event. Grafton is famous for its Jacarandas & they were in full bloom when we were there. Took a few shots of some jacaranda trees while we were driving around but did not find any of the really impressive jacaranda-lined avenues. Grafton is the major centre of the Clarence Valley & sits on the banks of the Clarence River.

Do not know what this golden- coloured flowering tree is but it seems to be often planted near jacarandas & flowers at the same time.

Don't know what the dark objects hanging on the tree. Think they may be flying foxes AKA fruit bats.

A quick shot of a jacaranda taken while driving on Grafton's notorious bridge across the Clarence River.

An approaching thunderstorm coming in from the sea. It gave a splectacular display later in the evening. Did not affect Grafton though as it moved north up the coast.
