One morning in April, which is autumn here, we found a praying mantis in our kitchen. This was great to see, as they are avid hunters of plant-damaging insects. So Bruiser carefully placed it on his hand & took it out to our back patio "garden", placing it on the Fiesta miniature rose. From there it freely moved among near by plants & quickly disappeared.

    On the rose plants.

    Moving about.

Think I might post a few more pics, while I am here.

You can see just how well camouflaged these critters are.

So do we, Pixie. We love to see huntsman spiders in our home, as well as daddy-long-legs. There is a small huntsman hanging around at present. We also have orb spiders making their webs on, or between, our plants on our patios.
