    Sugarcane & soybeans.The soybeans are ready to be harvested. They are used by sugarcane farmers as a soil regenerating cash crop.

    The Clarence River is on the left behind the casuarina r=trees & scrub. The Pacific Highway follows the river for quite some distance.

    This is a gyrocopter being towed on a trailer. To the left is a rather large old man banksia in flower. They ar usually more twisted & scrubby in growth.

    The fifth pic up with the sign for Ferry Park rest stop is the zoom-compressed southbound view of where we had our near miss when heading back home. There is more room than appears in that image.

    Heading north back home. This was just after that awful near miss. Imagine if one of these B-Doubles had been in the southbound lane, at the time, as they are here.

    Not much traffic here, thank goodness. The smokiness in these pics are due the morning sun reflecting off our, lees than clean, windscreen.  :lol3:
