It is slow going at 80kph especially when there are vehicles travelling way under the speed limit. Can cause long lines of traffic to bank up when they cannot overtake. A well-laden towed caravan passing a minibus or a motor home on the overtaking lane. That is one for the books. Only a few vehicles will get passed on that overtaking lane. Major frustration for the rest.

A Porsche without plates of any type. Not even delivery plates. The driver was a young bloke who was zipping merrily along overtaking at will. Enjoying the thrill of driving a Porsche no doubt. Passed him further up the road where he had been pulled over by a police officer. That would have brought him back down to earth.

Still plenty of tall timber. No wonder the eucalypts, a hardwood, were favoured for ships' masts back in the old days of sail. Now it's power poles, although these mostly come from plantation timber.

Crossing the Nambucca River at Macksville. There are several of these very narrow bridges along the Pacific Highway built in the days before large semi-trailers & B-Doubles. Woud hate to watch while two of these passed one another but guess they are used to it.

Slippery when wet. Common problem on many corners of the older parts of the Pacific Highway.

A well-cared for fine old car parked at Nambucca Heads where we stopped for lunch. Don't know what make it is but would not like to have to pay its fuel bill.

This is the last time we shall see this temple as the Woolgoolga Bypass is now open. 50% of Woolgoolga's population is of Sikh origin & 90% of the local banana plantations are owned by Sikhs. Blueberries are now also grown.
