The big glob fell from outside my window yesterday and I was happy there was not any damage to the gutter.

Oh dear, Glad, that certainly is some snow.  :cold:  It was good that your guttering survived the dreaded Glob. There must have been a fairly strong wind driving the snow for it get in under your carport like that. Cannot imagine such a sight.

Do hope you keep safe on the roads & nice & warm. Many thanks for posting these great photos.  :D

The snow is still here because temps have not been above freezing since a week ago tomorrow.

We are expected another front to come through Friday but this time they think it will be rain.  I sure hope so.  Rain expecting should support an above freezing temp.

The rain would melt some of the snow too, wouldn't it? Don't want floods though.  :) Do hope the weather warms up for you soon, Glad.

Joy, the weather we are experiencing is more like January and February weather normally.  So I am hoping winter does its thing earlier than usual then maybe an early planting season next spring.  That would be nice wouldn't it.

It certainly would be great if the weather co-operated in that way, Glad.  :D  Did think it was a bit early for you to have such a blanket of snow as it isn't even officially winter yet, is it?

Sure do, Glad. We are having a thunderstorm at the moment. Nothing serious but much rumbling & lightning flashes, at least for now.

Thanks, Glad, all's well at the moment. This t-storm has passed over us & has headed north. We just have some light rain nothing destructive. Not yet, anyway.  :lol3:

The weather has improved and the snow is almost gone.  Stayed around for about 10 days this time.

This week we should be above freezing every day if the weather man is correct.  I am happy....now I can do a bit of shopping for Christmas.  I need to get some gift cards for my adult kids that way they can purchase what they want.  The grands have already been taken care of.

Pleased to hear that the weather has improved for you, Glad. It would be no fun shopping for Christmas when it is snowing, I'd imagine. For us it it is the heat that makes Christmas shopping so irksome. At least the shops & malls are air conditioned which is good for cooling us down but the cars sitting in the car parks get really hot inside.  :hot!:

That seems odd to me but guess it should just like the snow would be odd for you.

Anyway try to have fun shopping.

Thanks Glad. We have never experienced a wintery Christmas or New Year.  :lol3:  To even see snow would cost us heaps of $$$. Still, there has been snow recently at the strangest places even on the pyramids of Egypt so who knows.

Well weird things can happen Joy.  If it is meant for your area to have snow then it will happen or at least I thing so anyway.

Looking out the window it is almost dark but I see only patches of snow now.  It is nice to see the ground again.

Snow only falls at higher altitudes in Australia, Glad & not al all near the coast. We do not even have frosts where we live. 45-50°F would be our absolute nighttime minimum during winter. That is the beauty of living in the subtropics.  :D

Can you and Bruiser adopt me to your home Joy?  I would not know how to react to temps above 45 all year long.

  Glad would you believe we do not even own coats or puffy jackets. I have a polar fleece jacket & Bruiser has some vests for when the temps get down to 60°-65°F. As for Bruiser he complains about the cold at about 70°F.  By the way, we don't have a heater.  :lol3:

:lol2:  Don't own winter PJs either nor a house coat or dressing gown as we call them. We do add extra blankets to the bed. Lightweight polar fleece ones & a dacron quilt.
