As you know my son has had many projects and one was the carport.  Recently he decided it was time to finish up the driveway and the floor of the carport.  (all old gravel dug by hand....then the tiller was used to loosen soil which is being used in another project....the old shed)

Here are a few pictures taken the last week or so:

    Tilling the floor

    Another look at the floor

Gravel for the floor and to spread in the drive way

    Another view of the gravel

A view of half of the floor with gravel

Son is shoveling the gravel into the wheelbarrow

    Lots of moving of gravel

    Spreading the gravel

    I will get more pictures.

Great job Glad.  Well done to your son, I know how hard work it is moving stuff by hand having just dug out and moved the old patio here.
It will look great when its finished.

BBilly Matt is a perfectionist. Every thing is measured exactly and when some minor measurement is off wow does he get miffed.

There will be more pictures. Thanks for the comment.

What a wonderful job your son is doing, Glad. Your new drive & carport flooring will look great. As BigBilly said it would be hard work indeed.

Perfectionism when undertaking tasks can be a good thing but it also can be a trial, at times, for those that have the need to attain it. As someone who did "suffer" from it, I can say we can learn to manage with less than perfection & that it will be okay if all is not able to be as exact as we would like it to be. Do hope your son will be able to relax & enjoy the fruits of his hard work & not see the few blemishes there may be (as he sees it that is. We would not notice them.).

Sorry I did not see this topic, Glad, as for some reason it did not appear in the "posts since last visit" nor was there a "New Topic" icon flashing. Sometimes these alerts can be very hit or miss.

Sorry for the few repeats....this project is complete:

Son has completed most of the carport project. A section of the entry into the house is still not quite finished but close enough. The project was started in May of 2010 and just finished the drive this week. He is happy!

What a beautiful example of craftsmanship from your son, Glad. He has done a great job & you should be rightfully proud of his work as should he. :bravo:
