Have just made a wonderful discovery. The billbergia nutans "Queen's Tears" have started flowering again. Didn't think they would as there had been no sign of buds plus the plants are so squashed up in their pots there wouldn't be much room for new plants which is where the flowers grow from. They also have many dead or dying leaves from the older plants & need some desperate attention. This might give me the nudge to at least get rid of the dead leaves. Won't repot them just yet, not while they  are flowering. Looking forward to seeing these strange but beautiful flowers again.

This billbergia nutans "Queen's Tears" flower was the first one I noticed which was squished up under one of their very strong strappy leaves. It has started to flower.

The billbergia nutans "Queen's Tears" flowerheads & flowers have grown quite a bit during our spell of foul weather. They were blown over too but this, thankfully, didn't damage the flowerheads in any way.

Another couple of bunches of billbergia nutans "Queen's Tears" flowers. They exude a sticky nectar which would be a hummingbird's delight if we had hummingbirds here.

Yes they are, Dawn.   I never get tired of seeing these billbergia nutans "Queen's Tears" flowers.    They do desperately need repotting but we don't have much room for bigger pots. :O

Thanks Krocker. :D  Yes, these are extraordinarily beautiful & really unusual flowers. I am afraid I have reached the absolute limit of allowable space on my very small patios. Even if I remove a pot it is hard to see where it could have been as the other plants just seem to fill its space somehow. :lol2:
