That is sad, Krocker. Do hope your mother's new plant will do well. Look forward to seeing some photos of it.

Mine would grow much taller, than it is at the moment, but the balcony above it stops it from growing higher although the stems do bend over at right angles at the top when it hits the roof. :lol3:

The dracaena surculosa punctulata "Sierra Leone" has surprised us once more & has begun another mass flowering. It isn't quite as prolific as the previous one, so far, but its bud growth is more staggered with more buds growing & yet to open, so will end up with many flowers once again.

Thanks Dawn. :thanks:   It is a bit cool, at the moment,  :cold:  to go outside at night to take pics of these beautiful dracaena surculosa punctulata "Sierra Leone" flowers & most of them are finished by morning so I was lucky to get one that was newly open in the daytime.  :cool3:

The dracaena surculosa punctulata "Sierra Leone" is covered in flowers & with buds of varying sizes. It used to be that this plant only had one or two flowers every few years now it seems to be flowering most of the time, no matter the season. Although these are normally nocturnal flowers I managed to capture this flower cluster in the morning still with all its flowers open bar two. The one at the rear has flowers from two different days. They were finished by the afternoon.

Our dracaena surculosa punctulata "Sierra Leone" is in the midst of another mass flowering. It has flower buds every where.

Here is an image taken this morning of one of its open flowers which hadn't faded by morning.

Some more of the dracaena surculosa punctulata "Sierra Leone" flower buds higher up the stems. This is the first time they have occurred this high up in the plant.

Thanks, Dawn, they are.   :D  It is a shame the flowers are generally nocturnal & so ephemeral so we tend to miss most of their glory. It is the only species of dracaena we have that has been actually flowering. The others seem loathe to do so.

We also have our other lovely fragrant flowers giving us pleasure at the moment as well. :bravo:

Another mass flowering of the wonderful dracaena surculosa punctulata "Sierra Leone". It seems to now be flowering non-stop. It has only taken more than twenty years & some TLC.

This image was taken in the morning. The others were taken that evening.
