How are you, your lovely wife & gardens coping with the heatwave you had, or are having, BigBilly? Did hear it was very hot in the UK. Hope all is well. :D

Sorry for not being round much Joy, yes we are both OK, been very busy with all the picking and freezing of broad beans and various peas.   And yes our weather has been really hot for us, over 30 c at times, been like it for over two weeks now.  Hope to catch up soon with the pics.

That is so good to hear, BigBilly. Your peas & broad beans seem to be providing a wonderful harvest. Young fresh broad beans & peas would be so delicious & freeze so well. Do hope the rest of your garden is bountiful as well.

30°C + is mild Aussie summer weather so we hope you are enjoying it. :lol3:

It has been hot here in Missouri lately too and happy that this year there was a bit more rain.  It is dry now though and hoping for rain soon.

Your beans look great BBilly.  Are you eating tomatoes yet?

We are now and I am looking for a mild salsa recipe.  Any suggestions?

Sorry for being absent for a while folks, but things have been a bit difficult, wife had to go in hospital again and despite a bad start to the growing season everything has now gone mad. Broad beans and various peas up to 5 foot tall with huge crops for freezing, good crops of carrots, cauliflowers, calabrese,
courgette, strawberries, lettuce and potatoes. Tomatoes and cucumbers inside are now doing OK.

     Courgette in the cold frame.

I am sorry to hear that things are slow to that end,  BB. Things have not been so good here either so seems like we are all in the same sort of boat. All the very best to you both, and :luck: for a very speedy recovery

Since my last post in your thread we have had an abundance of rain BBilly.

And sorry to hear your wife has been sick.  I hope she is better now.

Love to see your garden pictures.  Looks like everything is growing great in your English garden.
