The heather looks beautiful, BigBilly. It is good to see your garden burst back into life. Thank you for showing us how pretty it looks. :D

brr looks really cold still Billy. Keep the fires burning.

Those are wonderful pics of the heather Billy, the colours are exceptionally vivid. Will the snow now kill off the flowers or are they able to withstand it ?

Thanks for the great pics :good:

It does appear as though your winter is hanging on, BigBilly to be having snow so late. Your garden won't know what's what. The birds are glad for the food you provide, I'll bet.

    Thanks for the pic. :D

Appears that Big Billy is going through the same thing that we are here in Missouri.

Our weather man predicts it will warm up by the week end. I sure hope so for it is time to plant garden!

Still sub zero temps at night, days getting warmer but still a really freezing north easter

Am a bit worried how much of the permanent stuff in the garden is dead.

That is a shame that your winter seems to be hanging on so grimly, BigBilly. Do hope your permanent plants will survive the prolonged rigours of these cold nights. :cold:

What a pretty flower, BigBilly. Lovely bright colour. My Mum used to grow them but I haven't seen any for years. It is a hardy little flower, isn't it? Good to see some colour coming back to your garden. Thanks for showing us.

Are these annuals or perennials? Silly question as I think Mum's were perennials because she would never have had time to keep planting them each spring. If perennials, then it is good to see that they survived the very cold weather, BB. :D

Stunning flower Billy, and such a clear image :cool3:

I can imagine your concern for the plants in your garden, what a shame I hope none do die. It is so not nice to lose any plants.

But I think your plants will bounce back as the cold leaves and you are soon to have a garden full of flowery green shrubs with bees buzzing all over them. My fingers are crossed for this and I am holding thumbs for you to have a great summer ahead of you. My family over there are fed up with the wintery weather now too, they say enough is enough :) . We may see you sometime soon if all is still on ?

Yes Joy they are perennials, no trouble at all to look after, they just pop up year after year,

Yes winter is hanging on a bit Dawn, but still cold at nights minus 4,5 last night.
Look forward to seeing you when you are over.

The anemone would be an ideal cooler temperate climate flower, wouldn't it, BigBilly? It's one we don't see much where we live although gardeners way down south might plant them, especially if they have cottage-styled gardens.

Minus 4 is cold indeed, BB. :cold:

Good shot, BigBilly, many thanks for posting it. :bravo: That is a lot of eggs too. Do hope most will survive predation & become tadpoles. :cool3:

We love frogs but the trouble is the nasty noxious cane toad has moved into the area squeezing ours out.
