A series of images taken this evening over a period of an hour of the sun setting, then set, through a veil of smoke from a bushfire to the NW of our town. It must not have been close as our fire brigade was not called out. They would have travelled past our place if they had been going to fight the fire.

The smoke from that fire has given this sunset a really dramatic look. Fantastic Joy!. Looks like it was quite a bush fire that one. Phew!

It did give the sunset a wonderful hue, Dawn. These are the first sunset pics I've taken since June as we haven't had a decent sunset since then.

Fortunately it wasn't much of a fire, as bushfires go here. Didn't even make the TV news.

Three days ago there was more smoke haze covering the sun as it was setting. There ad been plenty of smoke about but still do not know where the fires were. At least they weren't too near us.
