Looking towards the SSW earlier in the afternoon. This is showing the leading edge of the frontline of a thunderstorm approaching from the west.

Twenty minutes later it is getting much closer.

Looking SW. The critters on the school sports field are Australian white ibis, AKA sacred ibis.

An hour & 10 minutes later & started to rain heavily but there wasn't any strong winds, thank goodness. Not even any thunder.

    Then it hailed.

The hail was only pea-sized but it did cool the air temp.

The last of the rain & hail.

The clouds heading north. It took a while to finally pass over us.

Rainbow & Scaly-breasted lorikeets gather in the big ghost gum tree after the thunderstorm had just passed overhead heading north. It shows the grey clouds in the background.

    Many thanks, Dawn. :thanks:

The last image, showing the lorikeets in the ghost gum, was taken when the sun finally managed to peek out after storm had headed north & just before it started to set. This gives a reddish glow to the foliage, branches & birds. The bits of bark on the branches are a reddish/brown as well.
