Bruiser put out some parrot seed, on an old, unused BBQ plate in the backyard, hoping to attract some galahs or other parrots, which it didn't. Not even a nocturnal mouse, but, yesterday, we saw Mrs Peewee (a magpie-lark) checking out the seed for some tasty morsels. These birds are normally grub & insect eaters but she didn't mind this free feed.

They are a very attractive looking bird, I think.

Did notice that Mrs Peewee was particular about which seed she chose to eat. This is a parrot mix but we did not seem to have any parrots around which wanted to eat it.

What have we here??? These birds are constantly moving their heads & their beaks can end up just being a blur as it is here. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to get a clear shot.
