Some of our zygoes have already started to grow flower buds. This is so early in the year for this to happen & it hasn't even been cold yet. The old zygo seems to have started first, too. This is rain spatter on the plants.

This is the most flower buds the old zygo has ever had. It is looking really good. Do hope it will have many of these buds mature well & flower.

Lots and lots of buds Joy! you are going to have a lovely display just now. :good:

Actually I can't believe I logged in and found this post this morning as I have just been out to water two under the tree at the back. Guess what! the one is full of flowers. I thought immediately wow this is very early! They are two that I had no space for in the outside room and these are also pieces that broke away from another plant so they are quite small. There are only two out of the five in the outside room with pin prick size buds on them.

Glad to hear that mine aren't going it alone, Dawn & they have company (& halfway around the world, too) which are also flowering or "budding". :bravo: Strangely, we haven't even had any cold weather, either, which might have explained the early flowering of our zygoes. The buds are certainly growing quickly as well.

As usual, the "Sterling" zygo is the last one to start growing buds but it isn't far behind the others. A large piece of the "White Fantasy" zygo, which was in the same pot, broke off recently due to brown rot, which is a shame, as it flowered first & looked so elegant. Never mind, the old zygo will, hopefully, make up some of the difference. The rest of yours will catch up very quickly, I'll bet. :cool3:

We love ours, Mary. We have a red one, a white one (that is usually more pink) & a hot pink one. The old zygo is a very pale pink. It will be interesting to see what colour its flowers are this year.

This is the "Sterling" zygo with the old, type unkown, zygo. The "Sterling" might still have some "White Fantasy" in its container but a large piece of it had brown rot & snapped off.

The old zygo will have a lovely flower display this year. It has grown astonishingly well since the flowering season of last year. We cannot believe how well it looks.

This looks to be a "Strawberry Fantasy" zygo flower bud. It is the right colour for one of their buds & it s on the side of the plant that the "Strawberry Fantasy" plants are. It usually flowers well after the "White Fantasy" though. Looks as though such things can certainly change with these plants.

The very first of this year's zygo flowers. This is a "White Fantasy" & is on one of the plants that recovered from brown rot.

This is very definitely a "Strawberry Fantasy" flower bud. There are others already appearing too. Good to see them opening up early instead of after the others have finished.

There does seem to be plenty of "White Fantasy" zygo buds, in this container, this year. Thought they would be greatly reduced after a large "White Fantasy" plant in this container broke off, due to brown rot. The smaller pink buds are from the "Sterling" zygoes.

Part of the old zygo. It has heaps of buds this year mainly because there is, thankfully, so much more of the plant. It has grown so well.
