The golden wattles bloomed early this year & the Pacific Highway was lined with flower covered wattles in June, instead of late August/September as is the norm. It is Australia's national flower.

    Is there a storm brewing?

And what does the sign say?

It was winter, Glad & had been raining for most the day. We were on our way home from Brisbane (about 225kms/14o miles away from home) when I took that pic.

The blue sign indicates there is a rest area ahead. This one has parking, male & female toilets (restrooms) & picnic tables, as indicated by the icons on the sign. It says the rest area is 3kms away & also says "Take a break". :lol3: These rest areas are quite common along the highway & are maintained by the Roads & Traffic Authority.
